NRL just gave him the all clear.

YEEEEES.

James Segeyaro has been cleared to join 2016 NRL premiers Cronulla, reports The Daily Telegraph.

“The NRL have given James Segeyaro official clearance to commence training with Cronulla’s full-time NRL squad,” said The Daily Telegraph.

The 26-year-old returned from England in January from an extended off-season break, telling Australian media he did not want to return to Leeds.

The Rhinos had maintained Segeyaro was not for sale but invited offers from NRL clubs for their hooker.

Segeyaro made a big impact at the Rhinos after joining them, initially on loan, from Penrith in July last year, helping them win nine of their last 10 matches of the season to comfortably retain their Super League status.

The Papua New Guinea international officially took up a two-year contract in September, removing a get-out clause at the same time, but now will join champions Cronulla.

THE NRL have given James Segeyaro official clearance to begin training with Cronulla’s full-time squad, as registration of a contract looms.

In the final stages of reaching a formal release from his 2017 contract with English Super League club Leeds, Segeyaro has been told by the NRL he can start training with the Sharks, after spending the last five months training in exile.

Segeyaro is available to train with the Sharks at their captain’s run tomorrow ahead of their local derby clash with St George-Illawarra at Southern Cross Group Stadium, however as he’s ineligible to play, his first training session with the NRL squad, is likely to be next week.

After a lengthy and drawn-out saga, the talented hooker is set to join the Sharks for the upcoming season and through until 2018.

His manager Sam Ayoub and Cronulla’s football manager Phil Moss met with the NRL earlier this week.

He has been spotted working out at the Sharks gym in recent weeks, with the 26-year-old expected to sign a deal until the end of 2018.

It’s anticipated that once the contract is finalised, possibly within the next 48-hours, Segeyaro’s first match will be with the Sharks’ NSW Cup team, Newtown.

News flash....Seggy's never been an 80 minute hooker. They will find a way to incorporate both Brailey and Seggy into the 17 with Seggy playing some back-row to allow Brailey some decent minutes. Can't see them ditching Brailey after the start he's had just cause the messiah is about to arrive.
