We looked really flat today - We looked slow and heavy legged, particularly in the forwards. There's was little zip in anything. And we seemed to just play really safe rugby - very little enterprise or offloads.
Positive is, we played awful, but we're still well in the competition - bombed a couple of sitters and we still would only have needed to turn it on for 10 mins and we'd have won.
Maloney had a rare off day - but he's got plenty of credit in the bank.
Refs clearly have a view of us, and particularly certain players (Fifita and Gal will never get the 50/50 calls) and they use their pre-judged view of players to determine their decisions. Gal gave the ref some lip about not playing on when Dugan was down injured (and he should have been forced off for concussion test then), then low and behold, the very next defensive set Gal is pinged for a very harsh interference penalty.

I can't believe we couldn't work out how to get through their up and in defence on the edges. Should've worked that shyte out after 5 minutes.

like a few have already said we seemed heavy legged out there tonite.
just like in the world club challenge. a step behind.
thinking we definitely need a dry surface to bring out our A game with this current squad.

wondering if recriutment takes this into account when signing someone.
are, is you a mudder or just a fast track specialist?
most probably not, but it makes for an argument at the dinner table. lol
