I wonder if the Jamaica team will be entirely composed of heritage players or a mix of both locals and heritage?

I can't imagine any domestic players playing, for several reasons. Maybe Nathan Campbell might. But either way it's the kind of international the game needs. France need to play more, especially at home, it's a new and interesting match up, it will help France prepare for the WC with a game against a solid opponent but not one that is in the WC and it will help Jamaica improve. Not much wring with it.

Toronto have a Jamaican don't they? Would be good to see him picked purely for being a pro playing local.

Because that jet lag would be a great warm up for the oz based players.

There is 4 weeks between the NRL Grand Final and the start of the World Cup, 8 weeks for players from sides who don't make the finals. That is some jetlag.

Any that concerned could be rested if need be anyway, like most sides do in warm up games.

So three weeks between SL GF and World Cup.
Plus you need to acclimatise to the weather.
Seems to make more sense to play a game here than in the UK or two games here maybe.

It's a shame this weekends matches aren't better scheduled. Should have been Friday night Aus v kiwis in Canberra, Saturday Tonga v Samoa Penrith, Cook Islands v Fiji Townsville, Sunday England v png Perth.

Playing three games at a sht hole, ground makes no sense and is a big missed opportunity to spread the interest in int rl.

NRL going with the softly softly approach to see if this whole "international sport" fad has legs

Updated recent European results.

Coming up in a few days we still have Norway v Sweden and then next month the American tournament kicks off.

Any confirmed details on any other matches?
