Expect the club to announce at some point in the near future the acquisition of Richard Agar to the coaching staff.
Not sure what role he will take on (assuming assistant coach or some sort of high performance). Don't know a lot about him as well, his record in the ESL doesn't seem all that fantastic. A lot of Wire fans are stoked with his departure as well....
Not too keen about this.

Don't hold your breathe waiting for our club to announce, anything.
It's a closed shop policy.

They wouldn't want an assistant coach who might be better than Dean Young would they? I assume that he would be the golden haired child to take over when McGregor is finally shown the door.

We had a great assistant coach who has a high likelihood of making it as a first grade coach and is highly regarded by some very good judges. Instead, we let him go, assign some internal appointments, and go for duds like this guy who would come into contention for the head coach gig should the board finally do what it should have done last year, and sack McGregor. News like this just makes me feel like taking a dump.

Interesting article in the SMH this week about Dean Benton, the performance director at the Storm, who has been involved with increasing the speed of all of the Storm players, particularly Billy Slater in view of his age and long period out with injury. Apparently Slater is 10% faster now than he was before his injury. Benton has also worked with the Broncos and Australian Rugby Union teams among others- a typically professional move by a professional and hard nosed organisation (like them or hate them). Meanwhile we clunk along with training wheel coaches and ESL unknowns.

Found a few glittering reviews of those close to him and who knew what he was about. Obviously these blokes aren't going to trash him... But maybe it's not all bad?Screen Shot 2017-10-06 at 1.38.36 PM.png Screen Shot 2017-10-06 at 1.37.57 PM.png Screen Shot 2017-10-06 at 1.37.08 PM.png Screen Shot 2017-10-06 at 1.37.17 PM.png
