13,500 union fans out in a terrible storm for a friendly match on Saturday night so must be something in it! Tomato soup all round, its the answer!

Not sure there is much, most RL fans are just lazy or there simply isnt enough of them.

So either get more fans or get the lazy ones motivated to go to games more often.

Price, facilities, KO times, hype and entertainment, quality of game, number of fans following a club. Its not really rocket science. And if all that fails, there's always tomato soup!

You’ll need to supply more info than that.
Give me some examples .
Price?
Hype?
Quality?
Facilities?
Number of fans?
Entertainment?

why do you keep calling it a friendly match... isnt it the Pacific Championship, or whatever BS name Twiggy has come up with.. regardless its the only game in town for force so trying to downplay the significance or relevance of it to say they still get a decent crowd is off the mark. Desperate fans is closer to the mark id say.

Because it is in effect a friendly match. They arent playing for anything other than to play a game for the fans to watch. He wants to turn it into a tournament next year with prizes etc but this year is just a series of friendlies against anyone who would play them. Hate union but fair play to him he is creating something the fans want to go to it seems. Their crowds had dropped to sub 10k in S15, so far they're averaging about 16k even with the stormy night crowd. Time will tell if it continues.

Its a discussion board, for you know discussion lol. Or we could just post the figure and offer no opinion what so ever, that would fun.
As it stands, the current "discussion" is
  • Sydney game happens
  • Crowd is announced
  • Same 2-3 people say the same thing about Sydney every time.
Rinse and repeat the 90-100 odd times there's a game in Sydney.

If you define that as "discussion" then good for you. Most others who come in here are sick of reading it.

And I guess the match was live on FTA and Fox.And the fact their team was flicked and fans want to make a point.Never attended in numbers when the Force played.
Remember when Souths were flicked and 80,000 marched .They didn't need tomato sauce.
I'll wait til novelty nights are over and people get back to the real world.

Ironic the Force gets more than the Reds did.Perhaps Red's fans are lazy or spend too much time whining.

Soup my dear man, not sauce.

Sauce won’t save us, unless we are offering free chips to go with it.
