You guys are being awfully harsh on Crichton. He is two years younger than any other forward on the field. He is still under 50 games played and only in his second full season

He has a lot of room to develop, he will be massive at this level in a few years IMO. Once he starts finding space and learning to use his gifts of offloading and fending more effectively
Ponga is younger and played in the forwards game 2 and has played less than 50 games so your argument is flawed

Winning the 3rd game at home and Billy getting MOTS has knocked off all the shine of the win for the blues, been funny asf & will be what the series is remembered for.

Happy to be proved wrong, but I think he moved to Brisbane at 15 to live with his older brothers. Got selected for QLD U16’s and from that point on has to be considered for QLD with the new rules? It’s similar but states flipped for Keary. Moves to Sydney after growing up in Ipswich as a mid teen, plays NSW U16’s and is tagged with that state from that point on even after Keary requests to be tagged to QLD.

Ridiculous in both situations.
Not as ridiculous as Inglis playing at 16 in the Arrive alive cup for Hunter Sports High (Newcastle) before moving to QLD to play for Waverley but somehow still became a qld flog

NSW had their chances, but fact is they did some really dumb things in the game -

- Tariq Sims conceding the penalty for taking out Hunt after the play the ball. Regardless of whether or not Hunt did the wrong thing first, in the comtext of the game, it was a completely stupid thing to do. The resulting penalty saw Holmes score his second try;
- David Klemmer's trip in the second half. Cancelled out what looked like was going to be a third try for New South Wales;
- Paul Vaughan only being used for 25 minutes in the game. We struggled to make metres yet we leave one of our only specialist props, and one of the game's best metre gainers on the bench for 55 minutes? Completely dumb.
- Tyrone Pechey hogging the ball late in the second half. Don't know how many times he got the ball instead of Maloney or Cleary in the last 15 minutes. Also, does he ever run straight?; and
- The constant going down the right hand side in attack. I know Qld got two intercepts on the left hand side, but it seemed to make them too scared to run plays for Latrell Mitchell. If they stopped throwing cut-out passes, then the intercepts may not have happened. Further as Roberts made 25 tackles to Mitchell's 7 (according to Fox Sports) then surely Mitchell should have been fresh for attack.

Fact is Qld minimised their mistakes and retained their composure which is why they won last night.

iirc, Qld had to apply to the ARL Board to get Inglis ruled eligible to play for Qld. This was before he had even played first grade.

exactly same thing happened in 2015 - NSW awarded the trophy in Game 3 up in QLD after a loss. f**k it's stupid.

award the trophy at game 2 if the series is won in that match. then do the lewis medal prez and another of the captains speeches at game 3.

Agreed, us Blues just get shitty because Inglis is a great player and McManus was a plodder.
