NSW getting smashed

SA need another 71 to win, 9 wickets left

someone like Zampa needs to do something special, highly unlikely

I think a couple of players just got drafted to the Aussie A team in England, the Paki bowler being one

just caught in on the Foxsports tikka

this is a second rate Blues team, surely there are players from other states that they could look at

This is why Australia's batting stocks are so bad and we have f**king muppets in India

A billion wickets have fallen across 3 shield games today. Our batting line-up is falling to shit and anybody that has been even closely mentioned for an Ashes spot has failed in Shield cricket today.

The guys in state cricket need to start scoring runs and putting pressure on the Aussie top order

NSW 3/58 in reply to Victoria 128. Let them get too many from where they were but still a handy position, although our batting sucks.

5/31 fro Sandhu and 3/39 for Haze the highlights, O'Keefe got 1/10 and Copeland got the other wicket

Man this Sandhu kid is really lighting it up

4/58 today.

Hazelwood bowled well also, 2/11 of 13.
sandhu - 2 shield games, 14 wickets at just under 12.

he'll break soon for sure.

hope he doesn't.

good to see hazelwood fit and taking wickets too.

edit - sok took 2/0 off 2 overs in the 2nd innings.

don't pick him.

Around the grounds

Michael Hussey continues to extend his reputation as an innings salvager with an unbeaten 48 as Western Australia inch closer to the Bull's paltry total of 164 at 5/141.

Ashes watch: Ryan Harris has 3/31 off 16.

Rain has delayed the 3rd day of the Sheffield Shield game between Tassie and the Victorians. Tasmania picked up first innings points and will start the day 0/7 with Silk and Cosgrove at the crease.

Earlier former Australian captain and all-time great Ricky Ponting scored a trade-mark century to put the Tigers into the box seat. In reply, David Hussey scored a defiant 112 but couldn't quite get the Victorians over the line as he was the last to depart.

Ashes watch: Doolan only managed 17 runs, Faulkner had a nice cameo of 30 runs from 15 balls, Hastings got smashed 1/72 off 13. Quiney scored a handy 60 to start the innings while Hilfenhaus failed to take any wickets 0/72 off 24. His Tassie partner Faulkner took 2/77 off 23 which included the scalps of Rogers and Hill.

NSW need 59 runs with nine wickets in hand to jump from last place to first

It may only be for a short time , but so far other results are going our way.

Ideally both other games end in a draw. If that happens we host the final.

Most likely game to end in a draw is vic/ tas

We will definitely make the final if that happens.

NSW win to go top of the shield table on 29 points

WA have taken first inning points to go to 28 points

Tas have taken first innings points against vic to go to 26.

The tas/vic clash is currently in a rain delay. Tas are going to have to make a very creative declaration to win. Which could hurt NSW chances.

WA/Qld still could go either way with wa leading by 60 with 1 wicket in hand.
