Looks like the cleanout has begun. There's a lot of youth in the squad. I've always said this WC should be used to expose some of the younger guys to competitive international football and prepare for the Russia 2018 cycle, and it looks like Ange will do just that.

Interesting to see who gets the captaincy now that Luca$h is gonski. I'd say one of Wilkshire/Jedinak/Cahill/McKay.

Probably a good move

Cahill is our x-factor, just as Kewell was in 2006. He already plays a leadership role in the team, so why potentially burden him with the added pressure of captaincy?

Plus it's hard to captain from the bench (unless you're Kurt Gidley).

Timmy now our greatest ever goalscorer.

Playing very positively so far. Probably the first time in a while all of the starting XI are starting for their clubs.

Ecuador had the same amount of points as Uruguay in qualifying and qualified ahead of them.
