for me, it is the opposite... QLD have been such a great team since 2006 that it was easier to accept the losses when they were fielding the likes of Lockyer, Smith, Thurston, Slater, Scott, Cronk, Inglis etc. but this year --> Scott and Inglis out for the entirety of the series, Thurston only...

fair enough, i don't really watch the Knights but i still think Gagai a more natural fit at centre than Munster i didn't realise Oates' health problems... my bad

if we assume that Cronk and Thurston will not be there for QLD from next year onwards, then Cherry-Evans should be considered the favourite to take over the Maroons halfback spot and the QLD team can and should be structured around him but for now, i think QLD need a more complimentary piece at...

Mitchell Pearce

Pearce has had a very good club career and has a premiership win with the Roosters... well done to him for that... his passing and kicking games are also very good at FG level but he has consistently shown that he is not an Origin half... that is not to say i think he was poor last night...
