    Any joint team will need shared home grounds which automatically makes them an unattractive proposition. The dolphins are getting away with it at the moment, but I think they need to bite the bullet and play everything at Suncorp. I don't think teams like the Wests Tigers and St George...

    I live up near Cairns and completely agree with you. So many other places would be better and more deserving - such as Perth, 2nd NZ team, and then Adelaide and another SE QLD team would be great.

    It can only be a knock-on if the ball hits the ground after going forward from your hands. Would eliminate looking for a little knock on into when players contesting the ball in the air and also if your briefly lose possession in a tackle. And get rid of 7 tackle sets. And make it a 50-20...

    NRL crushes ratings record!!!

    Don't know if this has much influence on ratings, but not having daylight savings in QLD means we get the games starting earlier here, which brings them to a better time slot for viewing IMO.

    Looks great. Would like it even better if they colours were reversed, and the gold was up top and more prominent. Broncos trying to be the QLD Maroons in disguise is wearing a bit thin.

    Or Drop the number of players from 13 to 12 on each team, and go back to 5 meters (or less) defensive line. Most of the reason for slowing the play-the-ball is giving time for the defense to get back and ready.
