I have a question for those who might be more in the know.

Looking at the League 1 results so far, is it fair to say that the French Elite 1 is quite a bit higher standard than League 1?

The French league would probably be a higher standard overall but the better teams in League 1 would be competitive in the French league.

Rochdale and York are still only one win behind providing neither of them slip up tomorrow. TO need to beat York in two weeks in order to give themselves some breathing room going into the Super 8's.
TO have beaten 3rd placed York City 44-6.

Hard to see them not going up. They'll easily finish top 2 barring a freak collapse, and get 2 bites of the cherry in the promo playoffs.

Looking forward to next year to see what they can do in the Championship

If they finish top do they get to play the final at home?

It would suck if they finish top and then play Rochdale at Leigh or something.

Averaging 50 points for and ~13 points against over the entire season!

Be interesting to see if there will be many changes to their squad next season if they go up a division.

Teams across all divisions can spend the Super League salary cap from next year so you would think they would be able to strengthen quite a bit. Hopefully the core of the squad stays together though, I think the average age is about 23.

Toulouse confirmed as league leaders, will play either Rochdale or Barrow at home on Sep 17 to determine promotion.

Toulouse beat Barrow 44-22 to finish the regular season unbeaten. Toulouse vs Rochdale next Saturday, September 17 to determine promotion.

If they go undefeated all year but then lose to Rochdale, can they still be promoted?

Yes, I think the winner gets promoted and loser goes in to a playoff with teams 3-5 for the 2nd promotion spot. Or something similar. A but ridiculous IMO, should just be League Leaders get promoted and 2-5 play off.

Toulouse choke in the final, defeated 24-22 by Rochdale. They get another chance in the play-offs but that is a huge fail by them and by the league format.
