What the heck happened earlier when the forums were offline? I thought my work had cottoned on to me being on the site all day and they had banned me.

I think it just clogged up because of the rush of people that joined up.

Nah, this morning the site went down as I was replying to a 13yo thread (in the Four Corners forum). Later I found this curiously related one to ask the question.
