So Bubbles was 'rehabed' at the Center for Great Apes (according to Wiki) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubbles_(chimpanzee) thanks Foz for the link.

Do youse remember that first fillum when Chuck Heston was riding along the beach and he rounded the point and ......

Well that was set in the not too distant future.

I for one do not trust that f**kin' Center for Great Apes. We can't let Chucks passing to be in vain.

This one saddens me, and he actually was a hard rocker.
Robert Dahlqvist lead guitarist of Swedish rock band The Helicopters has died.
I had the pleasure of playing with the Helicopters on their first Australian tour at the Bizzos, and then proceeded to party with them the next four days. Whilst Robert didn't play on that tour he did the next one a few years later, and I worked for them on it.
Good fella and a great band. R.I.P mate.

Bloody sad that about Clarke. He was a very clever man (even for a kiwi) I love his work.

Still got the old Fred Dagg on vinyl. Bugger.

Footnote:

Apparently Don Rickles has fallen off the perch too
