Didnt Merc say they would be bringing a Fin to testing this week?
Agree that the fins look f**ked, but lets how they go without one first.

No-one will care about the fins if the cars are faster and can race closer together.

*sigh * not another year with merc at the front. Isn't it something like 85% of wins since 2014 have been to merc?
Kudos for building fast cars, but f**k it's boring as a fan to wait for the mid pack to create some excitement.
Let's hope day 2 of testing is positive for all teams.

Cars in Action
Mercedes, redbull and Ferrari look OK in action
Force India is ugly as sin, Williams ain't much better.
Redbull and haas look ok.
Mclaren was hard to judge with all that equipment on it
Renault is meh
Sauber looked OK front on, but no side shots

If you have to have a fin then Redbull & Toro show how it is done.

T wings are awful. Fin + T wing combo is worse - Williams and Haas. We really were laughing at the 1995 Maclaren above. How clean and simple it looks now.

If the sporting regs weren't so tight. As in having to pit for tyres and forced to use two compounds, MB wouldn't win as much.

The irony is that rules like that are supposed create a level of unpredictability. But in fact it suppresses that.

Rules favour the big manufacturers and stifle innovation. Merc, Renault & Ferrari do not want to be upstaged by the likes of Colin Chapman or Jack Brabham.

Been loving the fox F1 channel this week.

If only it was permanent.
Its good to see they have made this effort. My only gripe is not using the respective BBC/ITV coverage of the day - Murray Walker, James Hunt, Johnathon Palmer et al for the full race replays(understand the full reviews as they are - with Simon Aaron I think).

Thought these 2017 cars were suppose to increase the racing spectacle but todays race was boring.

Good to see Ferrari back at the top.

Albert Park is a shit track now. Too narrow and with the wider cars, will always be a procession.

It was a bit of a yawnathon. Saving grace was it looks like LH will have a fight on his hands. Get rid of those god awful wings & T fins. Channel the cars from around 89-91 for clean lines and distinctive looks.
