Scrappy, few skill errors and dropped marks, but entertaining to watch. Amazing crowd, 24.5k with a lock out, will be curious to see the ratings. Lots of haters of course.
Need to see what the other games bring, but 27k or so turning up to watch a womens match that was live on FTA is a bit of a statement.
No doubt a lot of people wanted to be able to say they attended teh first ever womens AFL game and the fact that it was Carlton and Collingwood is probabaly the biggest local derby.
I dont think fans are going to persevere for too long in watching a game for 3 hours where your team only kicks 1 goal when the men kick around 12-15 goals a game.
I think this will be a fizzer.
They are now getting 5 - 7 goals a game regularly. Given a mens game is 80% longer, it isnt to bad in terms of scoring rate.No doubt a lot of people wanted to be able to say they attended teh first ever womens AFL game and the fact that it was Carlton and Collingwood is probabaly the biggest local derby.

Stoked about Richmond - they're the team I follow in the AFL.
