This is tough. Penrith play a similar style to us, but (based on last year) are much better at it.

But after Round 1, their defence is a joke, conceding 42 points against that Dragons attack is just woeful.

One thing for certain the previous week form counts for nothing especially in early season games. We were pretty impressive against Souths, but Souths were terrible and most of our raids were directed at a guy on one leg.

Penrith will come out firing and if I was a betting man I see them as a big chance in this game. On the other hand I might be selling our mob a bit short, but I do worry when Goodwin a plodder from way back can score three trys against,

Can the Tigers maintain some consistency?

They ripped up the Panthers last year at Telstra. Use the same game plan you did in that game and the same one the Dragons ran with...run at Cartwright.

Hopefully Penrith actually show up this time. Should be an entertaining match if they do.

I'd rather see another prop on the bench instead of Idris, get him to play reserves for a couple weeks.

Other than that, strong team

interesting that Lolo has been named, wont play though.

I have no idea from afar but is this any indication of the prop pecking order and that maybe Felise is a bit out of favour?

That is pretty close to our best team. Felise is probably a better option than Idris but I suppose Idris can interchange in the backrow as well.

Penrith look good but beatable. We should win but knowing us will we put in a shocker.

Seeing as Felise was named to start in NSW cup, I assume it's the exact same situation as Ballin - to gain match fitness

Felise would still be infront, but I spose LoLo would be a close 2nd behind him

With the 21 selected I'd rather see Idris drop out to NSW cup and Edwards/Lolo move to bench. Idris needs to get both his match fitness and confidence up so its probably good idea he does this in NSW Cup. Once he starts dominating bring him straight back in

Having a centre that is limited to about 30 minutes and playing two no9s really limits your bench selections. Probably get away with it this week, but it will bites us soon

On paper both teams are pretty even, but on round one form I tip the Tigers to win in a close but high scoring game. Overall happy with the team but agree that Jamal should not be in first grade just yet. We got lucky that Souffs were so crap, he might not have it so easy against the Panthers.

This will probably be a high scoring can see it being like 30-26 or something where it comes down to goal kicking.
