About the Munster broken jaw, there is absolutely no reward for tackling low, in fact you are punished. If munster had tackled low on pates 1 of 3 things would have happened
1. Munster chops him down low, another player goes to help, 2nd player is penalised for a flop
2. Munster chops him low, doesn't realise in a split second after the player hits the ground, penalty for 'holding down'
3. Munster let's go quick enough, oates gets a quick play the ball, Melbourne defend of the backfoot for the rest of the set.

There's no reward for a low tackle. You leave yourself open for off loads. But more importantly the quicker you bring a guy down, the quicker he can play the ball, if he can play the ball before the defensive line has got back ten then the attacking team can create all kinds of havoc

Munster was asking for trouble tackling head to head--as I said,he had from ankle to chest to hit Oates!! Awful tackling technique!!

Off-loads????How many players know how to do that efficiently???

There's no reward for a low tackle??????? What was Munster's reward for his "tackle";a broken jaw?? Remember;Oates was just running the ball out from his line--no way he was going to off-load there!!

Almost every player can offload now days if given the chance, it's just players are rarely given a chance as players go High first.

There is no reward for a low tackle. You either give away a penalty or a lighting fast play the ball, both can be game changing. While munster jaw was unfortunate it has to be put in perspective, there were thousands of tackles this weekend only one ended in a broken jaw.

When you have a player trapped in goal, going in low is by far the best option. First man goes low, second wraps up the ball, team is rewarded with a goal line drop out.
You know it makes sense.

True. No ruck penalties for slowing the play the ball, flops plus no risk of an offload

Tonight, Parra played just like we did on Thursday. Too many dropped balls which made them play catch up, they then looked panicky in attack. Oh and it was the exact same score haha.

Lol@Kahu.

Drop out didn't go 10metres and rolls back and Kahu picks it up and thinks he's scored.

Lol he got penalised and rightly so!!!!

The Broncos had their best forward off for 28mins in McGuire.

When he was off the Dogs gained momentum.

This Brad Abbey has been really really good tonight.

He's played better than what AJ would at fullback. Got a smart brain this young Abbey.

Also Jackson just made a line break which is something Turner can't do.

Young Matt Frawley is playing well. Much better kicking game than dud Kelly.
