Dragons' innovations adopted by the NRL

I wonder how many of the Dragons innovations have been co-opted by the NRL for use by the whole competition?

I can think of three off the top of my head-

Heritage Round
The Dragons were the first club to wear a heritage jersey for a special round each year. They held heritage rounds to honour the St George and Illawarra regions and wore a retro Steelers-design jersey for the Illawarra heritage round. This was before alternate/away jerseys were mandatory and the Dragons didn't have one. Within a few years there was an official heritage round and every team were wearing heritage jerseys. More recently, the "Men of League" cause was integrated into heritage round.

Women In League Round
The Dragons started wearing a "Pink V" jersey before the Women In League round was created. The Pink V was invented to raise money for the Joanne Mackay Foundation, which was created in the memory of former captain Brad Mackay's wife, who died of breast cancer. Then the Bulldogs gang-rape scandal hit. The NRL went into damage control mode and started promoting every female-friendly element of the game they could think of. Women In League round was created and suddenly every team was looking for ways to include some pink on their jerseys.

ANZAC Round
While originally an AFL concept, the Dragons and the Roosters were the first NRL teams to start holding a traditional game every ANZAC Day to support the RSL back in 2002. The games have been held following the march in Sydney, former and serving service-persons are admitted free and both teams wear specially designed jerseys that raise funds for the RSL. Once the ANZAC Day match became established, a few other teams jumped on the commemorative jersey bandwagon and eventually an actual "ANZAC Round" was created.

Can anybody else think of any concepts created by their team that was adopted by the league as a whole?

Did the Indigenous round start with a particular team?

Who did the first movie tie-in jersey? Storm (Batman)? Souths (Superman)? Tigers (Bond)?

So one of the only teams no not really change their jersey over their history is the team that started the craze of having 5+ jerseys a year...

Guess they figured they would have boost Merch. sales somehow.

Rugby League has been played on ANZAC day since the 1920's and the AFL never played on that day until years later

trying to say you started women in league round because of a jersey to raise funds for breast cancer is ridiculous

heritage round is a toss and wasn't started because of some jersey either

The f**king ridiculous 7 tackle set is a direct result of Waaaayne getting Jaime Soward to kick it dead on purpose... so there's that.

In honour of the Dragons, the NRL should do "St George Illawarra Appreciation Round".

Everone gets the bye and Saints and their fans get a whole weekend to play with themselves.
I like it..

Just glad it wasn't started last year.. we still would have lost..
