So Moylan at 6, Maloney at 7
That post you quoted was made after round 2. Moylan has been in a bit of a slump in the meantime, along with his team, but did play well in the most recent game. It is highly likely that Moylan has been hampered by the failure of his forwards to set a platform, and has been pushing passes that weren't on. This may not be an issue in the NSW team. But the push for Pearce is deafening. Daley submitted to the push for Tedesco last year, chances are he'll do the same with Pearce this time.

Meninga sticking with incumbents might tip the balance Moylan's way, especially if Australia win. Adam Reynolds must be an outside chance, but that is all. NSW won with Moylan at 6, that might also tip the scales.

I still can't believe they would opt for Pearce over Moylan. Yes he hasn't been playing that well recently but what can he do behind an absolute shithouse panthers team? Moylan is absolute class, Pearce is shit.
