You think what now?

You were speaking of the indigenous people that pre-dated Souths, they didn't play for parra.

Keep on denying the historical links other clubs also have in a strange attempt to claim south's are unique. As you were.

A lot of the logos and names were only set in stone in 1977 when the NSWRFL with Singleton got the branding done for marketing and merchandising purposes.

Prior Newtown were the BluebIags. Canterbury Bankstown the Berries. In earlier times there were more nicknames. Manly sometimes referred to as the Seagulls; Norths were the Shoreman (remember the bridge wasnt originally there). Wests the Cherry Pickers.

A lot of early colour combos and jerseys came directly from the district RU teams.

The Broncos were to be the Brumbies but as someone posted, got help and a name from Denver. Their colours were red and blue but Newcastle registered first.

Canberra were also listed to be the Nationals or Senators. Penrith were cronulla s colours but cronulla took them first.

Anyway, every club has a story. They're all good ones. Souths is special to us but no better or worse than anyone else.
