Are the Panthers the most disappointing team of this season?

At season's start all the so-called experts were talking up the prospects of the Penrith Panthers. Some pundits talked about them as top four material.They have turned out to be complete duds. Panthers have only beaten Newcastle, Wests, and NZ Warriors. They have no chance of being top 4 and may not make the top 8 in September.

Panthers have a team built around the teeny bopper's unisex sensation, Pretty Boy Moylan, as well as Nathan "the Chin" Cleary and Bryce Cartwright, with Peachey as impact player coming off the bench. Apart from Waqa Blake there is no other spark in the backline. The forwards are duds. The management cannot even retain talent they recruit. They lost a champion hooker named James Segeyaro. They lost Jamal Idris to depression and another club. They released a gun French forward named Benjamin Garcia back to France.

Director of Football Gus Gould, who used to be very active on Twitter, has shut down his Twitter account. He is embarrassed by what is happening. The club is in meltdown.

Got to be the Warriors.

I know their fans will talk about their forwards but they have been group 6 reserve grader standard at times.

This mob, with a spine of RTS, Foran, Johnson and Luke are looking like they won't make the 8.

With a bit of tinkering the Panthers season is still salvageable.

How dare I wish to discuss Rugby League on a Rugby League forum.

For those who are not aware, Benjamin Garcia played U20s with the Brisbane Broncos in 2013, while Anthony Griffin was coaching the Broncos NRL side.

After only 9 games, he was released to take up an opportunity at the Catalans Dragons, where he excelled in a bench role, mainly due to his versatility.

Benjamin's preferred position is second row, but he has also played prop, centre and loose forward.

Anthony Griffin is a poor coach, and this is just one example of the mistakes he has made during his tenure as a head coach.
