If by "most" you mean 5 of 12 possible, then sure.

Amazingly enough, he missed those 7 games... due to knee surgery. (both knees have been problematic)

Hell of a player though, if he stays on the field.

And Rothfield probably just made that 'insider scoop' up, 2+2=5 News Ltd style.

Kinda happens when you get knee surgery, you miss games

Anyways give him time, might come good

.

well the 5 games he has played have been the last 5 games straight so i would say week to week is a fair assessment

Time for the annual Paul Carter sacking/release.

What a waste

I don't think it's much of a waste at all, the guys lucky to have played 1 NRL game. Apart from having a famous Dad and apparently being 'tough' I have yet to see anything to suggest the guy is actually a decent footballer.

I thought he had talent. A bit of rough diamond that needed refining. Tough and talented, was probably suited to the lock role but came along at a time when everyone was moving on to huge proplocks

That should free up some cap space to make another three SOO standard signings

cue the moronic deadbeats on leagueunlimited who think the Roosters just go out and sign SOO players.

This is our top 17, pretty much indicative of the fact that the Roosters policy is to sign youngsters. Teams like the Bulldogs, Eels, Manly tend to go more for experienced NRL players.

Michael Gordon - 34 and unwanted by Parra
Daniel Tupou - Signed after a season of playing for Wentworthville
Latrell Mitchell - Signed from our feeder junior club Wyong after being rejected by the Bulldogs and Newcastle.
Joey Manu - Signed as a youngster from NZ
Blake Ferguson - Partially true but signed after being sacked by the Raiders. Spent 12 months out of the game.
Luke Keary - Unwanted by Souths but decent first grader for sure when we signed him, his stocks were down when signing him.
Mitchell Pearce - Signed from Norths juniors as a teenager
Sio Siua Taukeiaho - Unwanted by the Warriors and told he wouldn't be offered a contract. Only made his NRL debut in his final game for the Warriors, after this decision and after he had signed for the Roosters for 2014.
Mitchell Aubusson - Signed by the Roosters as a teenager from Ballina
Boyd Cordner - Signed as a teenager from Taree
Dylan Napa - Signed from Brisbane as a teenager, rejected by the Bronco's.
Jake Friend - Signed as a teenager from Noosa.
Jared Waera-Heargraves - Signed from Manly when playing in their NYC team

Issac Liu - Released by Tigers after finishing NYC
Ryan Matterson - Signed from Eels NYC team
Connor Watson - From Roosters feeder team Wyong
Zane Tetevano - Signed by Wyong after being sacked by Manly in 2015

Every club in the nrl buys players to win premierships, more so than the roosters, it is a myth that other clubs succeed with their so called juniors, looks like roosters figured this out long before other clubs caught up. Even the great broncos can't produce their own to fill their team, needing the likes of Milford,Blair,Roberts, bird,Moga to help boost their ranks.

It's easy to say roosters sign big name players, but they don't want to play with the majority of crap clubs in the NRL bar broncos and manly maybe.

Its is very noble of you to pick up all these unloved players, and yes lots came from very humble beginnings but what are they worth now and the big question what are they being paid, but I guess like home sick QLD players going back to the Brooks for a third of their market value, plenty of Chooks will play for bugger all just to be a Chook.

Also a lot of the kids you mentioned, did not just come out of the local C grade comp, they were junior reps who got lured to the big smoke by being paid way over the odds
