World Cup advice please

looking for some trip advice. Planning to head over for the semi and the final. Will have sun-fri to take a drive somewhere. Any suggestions for a few days trip out of Brisbane? Is north up Noosa way better than south to Byron Bay Area? Thanks for any suggestions.

It depends on what you're after. Sunsine Coast / Noosa is awesome for a fish and relax, but if you want to party then head down the Gold Coast or Byron.

Haha yeah I know that feeling. Noosa itself on Hastings Street makes for great shopping and some good bars/cafes but can also be quite busy. Just north as Noosaville on the River is awesome for chilling out. (Cafes and bars, lots of parks on the river for picnics and boat, canoe hire and stuff.

Otherwise check out Maleny and Montville in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland!

If you like the scrub, head north westish of Caboolture and check out Kenilworth and Maleny. Both have great cheese places with heaps of free samples.
