It was around the 1980's that car manufacturers started doing this. But you can get in some cars as late as the early 2000's that don't have that arrow. It's bloody helpful when you are driving someone elses car and are running low on fuel.

Nah, it goes great. My father in law gave it to us and it's been treated great. I think the air con gas is about rooted and the only problem I've had with it was an exhaust problem

Service it myself like all my cars. About 130 bucks for the oil, filters etc

It's just like people don't realise that on most cars, there is an arrow pointing to what side the fuel goes in next to the petrol gauge so you know which bowser to pull up to.

Was aware of this little lifehack. Though only in the last 5 years or so!
