Merrin injury update

Scans have revealed Trent Merrin will be sidelined as a result of a knee injury suffered against the Warriors in Auckland.

Merrin suffered a high grade medial collateral ligament tear, which does not require surgery, but will see the Panthers forward miss six to eight weeks of the competition.

It's over two months since Bryce took the field, even if he's fit this week. I think he should be brought back off the bench.

Well we shouldnt lose out defensively. Merrin averages 3.2 missed tackles per game.

We will need some other guys to step up their workrate in attack though. Merrin tends to lead our hitups and metres gained.

I think our pussy front row could be exposed big time if we go the wrong way about replacing Mez. Browne and Latu combined average about the same metres as Merrin on his own.

I think its time Tamou stood up. He earns more than the rest of our front rowers combined. He should be dominating games each week. Without Mez we need what we paid for.

Lets not shit the bed yet we have options. Fish can play lock for ac ouple of weeks until Carty is match fit and then they can share the duties.
Only thing we will miss is Merrin's go forward. As MX said its time for Tamou to stand up and do MORE!
