Put it all together I'd agree.

Not the fastest or the most skilled. Most influential? Maybe. Toughest? Perhaps.

What are the areas we judge a shark on?
Skill
Speed
Toughness
Influence
Loyalty
Grit
Determination
Resilience

Except for speed, Gal would be right up there on every area.

As a young man Gallen was one the fastest over 40 meters @ the club.

Hard to compare eras but he's neck & neck with ET.

Having captained the club to its maiden premiership, I'd have him the best ever, with ET 2nd, Steve Rogers 3rd.

Pfft
ET?
Was missing half the year due to rep injuries
Then when it mattered he went missing during the biggest games of his career.

Gallen
Captained the sharks to a premiership
Even had to set up a classic grand final try all by himself to do it.

Gallen Greatest Shark by a long f**king way.

Can't disagree.

For starters love his FU attitude to anyone who ever shyte on the Sharks or himself.

Says it how it is and not afraid to be honest with his thoughts and called people out.

Captained a GF winning team.

Had the balls to set that scrum base play which set us up on the path for a GF win.

Oh and gave that witch DUI Bec her own back and had the last laugh.

Greatest Shark, greatest Captain- Gal. Greatest player? Sludge.

Have to Agree with you Cools, the guy has put in week in week out whether we've been on a high or on a low, he's attained all the representative honours, and he's captained / led our first premiership winning team.

You can have arguments about the most naturally talented Shark (eg: Tommy Bishop or Gav Miller ?), the most visually spectacular Shark, (eg: Peachey, Sludge, ET ?) but I think Gal epitomises it through his 16 + years of achievements.

Look at the captains from the GF opposition teams the sharks have played.

Gallen had to beat one of the best ever.
Maybe the best.
Definitely one of the most experienced and best big game players in CSmith.

I'd have to agree that Gallen is the greatest ever Shark. I just wish he'd show a little bit more humility and stop saying how much he's done for the club at very opportunity.
