Can the Sydney Roosters win the Grand Final again this year?

Michael Gordon was past it 2 years ago at Cronulla. It's laughable that they're currently 2nd.

Lol watched many Roosters games this year?

Gordon prior to his injury was our most consistent player.

He's been immense.

And if it's laughable it's because we Roosters fans are laughing at all the sludge teams trailing behind us when we haven't even put in more than 1 or 2 80min performances all year.

Roosters v Storm,

Roosters win in the backline = 1 point roosters
Roosters better in the halves = Cronk and Pearce have both won 1 premiership, Keary better than Munster (1 premiership to 0 premierships)
Storm win in the hooker role
Roosters way better in the forwards
Roosters stronger bench,

Therefore, if they meet in the GF the score will be 30 - 12 to the Roosters.

Wow.
Ok firstly, the Storms backline is a thousand times better then the roosters.
Second, in what universe is Pearce and Keary better then Cronk and Munster, you based it on Premierships 2-1. Does nothing else come into consideration? How about dally m medals? How about origin series wins (Munster was won more then Pearce and Keary combined, and he's only played one)
Third, the Storm have in my opinion the best forward pack in the game, I would take Bromwich, Harris, Kaufusi, Finucane and McLean over Napa, JWH, Cordner, Guerra and Liu anyday
And the bench, Kenny Bromwich - international, Glasby - Origin player, NAS - monster + would of been an international if not for injury, and Stimson - a great up and coming player. Tell me how that bench is not better then Tetevano, SST, Evans and Watson

No reasonable person would argue that the Roosters are better than the Storm in 2017.

But in a one off game of rugby league we're absolutely capable of beating them.

It would be foolish to think otherwise.

We should have beaten them 2 weeks ago despite an 11-6 penalty count and a penalty try in what was universally decried in the gameday thread as the most one sided half of refereeing seen all year. And yet still it took a 78th minute try to beat us.

So clearly we're capable.

Especially with Clutch Pearce in your team.

If at full strength and play for 80 I think you'd be able to match them really well.

This is true.
2017 is the worst quality comp across the board since 2008.
It's almost offensively mediocre. We are a mid-table team any other year. 2013-15 or 2010 Roosters would put 40 on 2017 Roosters.

2010 was much worse.

A Luke Walsh led Panthers finished 2nd, a crap Titans side made the Prelim and a streaky 6th placed Roosters team beat that Titans team by 20 in the Prelim.

A verrrrryyyy mediocre season for quality.

Still an impressive performance from the Roosters against the Sharks. The mighty Sydney Roosters bombed three tries and played with 12 men for the last ten minutes, but still won.
