Why are you Rugby League "Internationalists" all the same? There is a reason why our game doesnt appeal to people outside 4 or 5 countries. Please STOP trying to embarrass the rest of us that know where the limits of our sport rests.
Please stop with the name calling its pretty juvenile to be honest.
Bring on Cronullas game tomorrow and a good finish for the season
I suggest you get hold of the french documentary called "The Sorrow & the Pity"about the extent of collaboration between the French & the Germans in WW 2 it caused an almighty row in France when it was shown you might learn something
It also shows the only ones punished were the lower orders not the ones in the upper echelons of Society

Ive read it and had a good laugh. 70 years ago though. You have to drop this excuse. If countries want to play our game theyd would of started by now. Even the Pacific Islands countries cant produce their own talent how are European, Asian and African teams suppose to competitive if the Pacific Islands cant produce

Unions attempts to stymie rl's growth continues to this day and includes the PI's. Can't blame them, rl is a superior version of their outdated sport. Only natural they would be fearful of a level playing field.

But Union have nothing to fear about! Rugby Union is more attractive to more countries. Rugby League is more attractive to Aussies and PNG people. Its simple really. Rugby Union have left us for dead but they have an international scene

I will give you the gen.Since rugby league has been getting a fair go in many countries now around the 40 plus mark, the (not 205) game has grown internationally.
To the extent in quite a few countries such as Ukraine,Serbia,Lebanon,Czech,Jamaica,Fiji,Thailand,Wales to name a few out has Govt backing ,into schools unis and armed services.Growth in Italy,Spain,Ireland,Hungary,Netherlands,Norway,Sweden Denmark,Greece ,Malta,Russia,Turkey.Even South Africa battles along.
10 years ago there was stuff all playing the code, today 40 plus .

Embarrassed LOL.The only one who should be embarrassed is someone who has zero idea with what is happening overseas and then proceeding to tell people they should be embarrassed..Most Internationalists actually follow what is going on ,the good and the bad.
No one is suggesting it is huge ,but in fact growing. Those points doesn't seem to sink in with the predictable knockers such as your good self.

The British Govt is throwing in Pounds 25m toward the RLWC2021.The 2025 RLWC is being held in Canada/USA.
The European Sports Commission is providing grants to the RLEF for their development work and growth in European countries.
The Commonwealth games Committee in 2015 granted rugby league Tier 3 status (the first step toward entry) due to the growth and development of the code through Commonwealth Countries.
The State Govts of WA/Vic are throwing in money toward the RLWC17.
The semi pro Toronto Wolfpack is continuing with its 7,000 crowds in Toronto,in yeti lower Pommy division.,Now they are looking at New York.

If that's an example of limitations champ, then they better offer a different meaning for the word.

" Name calling". If you ignore the above that is denial. If you LOL at Vichy and it's effect on French rl that is denial.

Meanwhile every other sport creeps further and further ahead. Taipan its called Globalisation mate. Its happening to every sport.
The only part of our sport the others cant get further ahead here in Australia is the NRL. Thats where us true supporters focus. Not some made up international crap trying to stay up with the bigger sports like Basketball, soccer and Union

Funny that.if rl is growing not stagnating in these countries, under your formula other sports are creeping ahead.
The points I mentioned about rugby league indicates they are working on growing the game globally, else European Zone Sports commission wouldn't have a bar of them.Nor would the Commonwealth games Committee.Nor would Bristish Govts nor French Govts finally giving the sport the go ahead in schools.

Funny also ,netball has only a minimal number of competitive countries involved in their sport, yet no one has a problem with that.

All sports started from a low base." Made up International crap" WTF.When countries play against each other involving local players ,it's made up crap LOL. Check scores.
You can argue about RLWC eligibility with some countries, but that changes over time.

You never heard of PNG.,seriously .RL is making decent inroads in Fiji for a start.Jamaica already done so in unis, colleges, schools and clubs.

If any code is just going to concentrate on it's one area of strength, they may as well pack up shop.

FYI only 5-6 union countries have a ghost of a chance in their RWC.And the facts are the majority of their fans and TV viewers come from the 5 union playing countries:England/NZ/Aust/SA/France/ and to a lesser degree Wales.
RU is also a minority sport in the overwhelming majority of the so called 205 countries. No one cares about that aspect either.

I don't know where you get your info from, might I suggest in some way it's dated or just plain lacking..

Who the hell is trying to stay up with the bigger sports? Rugby league is trying to grow their own sport, what others do or have done is theirs to brag about.
I'm glad you're not running the code, we'd be shrinking even further in this country.

You understand with globalisation, no code can afford to just stand still and pull up the drawbridge.Even fumble ball realises this.
