It will be very interesting. There are plenty of ways he could go in the backs and the forwards and the bench.
Gagai is an interesting one. He really is a gun winger. I know he was signed to play centre , but If I'm the coach I would be starting him on the wing.
I'd have Jennings and GI as my centres.

Jennings and GI, yep that doesn't sound too bad either.

I really don't get what people have against Richo
Its just typical of ignorant, small minded souths fans that they make anyone, from Rich or a player that has had a bit of a struggle or has been around a while, the scapegoat, to the point of being offensive
Of course there is no substance to this stupidity

I didn't think he was that bad in his first stint. He wasn't setting the world on fire but he was solid enough.
I thought it was more a case of needing him on the wing because we were struggling bigtime with no specialist wingers.
Sometimes players just have that game that kicks them on and sees them playing at a different level.
He was great on the wing when moved back there and then again when he moved back to fullback stepped it up a cog or two and played the best footy of his career IMO.
He looked more assured and confident in his ability and used his blinding speed to his advantage.
He's still a youngster but is starting to get naturally stronger and bigger and brings the ball back well. I think it's his time.

We have a core group of youngsters that are all quality young players and will get better and more confident as the year goes on . These young blokes are already having impact and will have even further impact this season. Our forward depth has built up very nicely because of this . When Sutto, Clark, Farah and Turner are no certainties for a spot in the 17 then our depth is looking pretty good in the forwards. One more depth prop and we are well and truly covered.
We have a senior group that will hopefully be refreshed with a new coach.

If we manage to throw our top 17 out most weeks we will be entrenched in the top 8.
Your obviously a very positive person burgi and Charlie Frith is a legend, but as for depth in the forwards we get hammered by every other club.

I also thought he struggled a bit, & thought he would have still struggled towards the end of the season if he'd have had to play any big, high intensity games

Its more just about the modern day fullback, if you're not big & able to really bend the line then you have to have that leg speed & aggression like Slater, i think Gagai has this & is potentially a very good fullback, it just remains to be seen where Seibold thinks all these players fit in best

Come on lads. Calm it down. The forum has just settled down. Let's keep it that way.

Fine to argue and disagree but let's be civil about it.

Sattlersjaw is actually a pretty funny guy. You should check out his stuff in the main forums, he tore up in the cave. They couldn't even respond to him because they had nothing to say. They're usually all smartasses as well so it was funny to see them speechless. I don't agree with everything he says footy wise but he's still a funny bloke.

So you're looking straight past hunt? I wasn't that keen on Jennings in the opening rounds from what he showed, but I do like his ability to create opportunities. If we don't sign another centre I would probably be giving him a decent shot next year as well. What he showed in the last few games was much more promising. He has definitely struggled with injuries over the past few seasons though and that is not something we want in our outside back department.

I think Gagai would be good on the wing but only if he gets involved as much as he does in origin. I would love to see AJ and Gagai on kick returns as I think their speed is deadly especially when it comes to the closing part of the halves. From what I saw at the knights Gagai does have defensive issues at centre. His ability to tackle can be a problem but a lot of good centres have that same problem. A running game isn't something you can really instil in a footy player. You either have it or you don't and Gagai has it. So it's fullback or wing for Gagai for me. I think that's where top coaches know he plays best. Walters, Meninga etc.

I think Gagai, GI, AJ are all shoe ins for the outside backs which leaves 2 spots for everybody else to fight it out for.

I think the roosters are doing everything they can to stop Cronk from coming to us. It'll unfold over the next week or two hopefully. I don't really wanna be stuck with Pearce though lol...
