BRL v QRL the first RL war

In 1929-30 there was a dispute between the BRL and the QRL

That resulted in clubs aligning with either group

Seemed to caused a lot of damage to the original good work

Who has more on this ?

Haven’t heard anything about this but would be interesting to read it.

OT Brisbane really needs a BRL/QRL club in the NRL in a way to preserve the old BRL comp.

BRL United/Firsts in their old rep jumper would be perfect...

It would give the club immediate history without the old allegiances of the club game.

Honestly, i think this should be the model for ALL future expansion. EVERYONE can get behind a cities rep team and the club actually has some heritage to play with...

Its funny though....

This was the exact opposite of the NSWRL/CRL split; CRL thought the establishment was TOO city centric, the BRL thought the establishment wasnt city centric ENOUGH.
