As a fellow expansionist in a non traditional RL area I'd suggest Melbourne Storm as they are the only true expansion club left in the top flight of RL in either hemisphere. Doesn't hurt they are a winning club either

As Adam said Above pick the Knights, we have come last for the last 3 years but have made some really good signings and can only improve from here. Newcastle is the 2nd biggest city in NSW so you also get the us vs big brother (sydney) vibe. The knights have had several of the leagues best players over time including the greatest player of all time (in the majority of peoples opinion). One of the strongest supporter bases even though we have come last for the last 3 years. Just got new owners so all is looking positive.

If you're an arrogant Pats supporters then its Storm for you. Tom Brady/Cam Smith. Best players of generation but hated. Cheats and very successful.

Bucs/ Jags- The only way is up unless you don't go up.. so go the Knights.

Browns- Wests Tigers or Warriors. Though at least the Tigers have won more then 1 game in 2 years.

Green Bay- Raiders, shit all to do in Green Bay or Canberra
