Has Renshaw found any runs? Middling them in the nets?

Surely he's a better option than Bancroft or Khawaja???

He's no where near test standard

Smith is very much papering the cracks of what is a pretty ordinary batting line up

It's interesting that he hasn't been able to hit a big knock against England's attack. But got into the side after making a big score against Australia's bowlers playing for NSW.

Who is the brown nosed gnome?

Hope he sorts his technique out. SMarsh having a good series but nearing retirement age.
A couple of these hopefulls will need to step up soon.

Not sure what the selectors do going forward, Bancroft struggled against an English bowling attack that has struggled to bowl us out all Summer, South Africa will be much harder too.

Burns? Renshaw can't be picked on form.

Burns has been tried and failed, he cant play the straight ball and the mighty Windies attack showed him up. He is probabaly no different to Bancroft/Renshaw tho.

They make a lot of runs at First Class level but cant make the next step up.

I dont agree with moving Darsh up to opener as he will soon retire so we need to look to the future. Unfortunately we have no 4 day games so we have to go on what is available and the cupboard is bare.

I like Travis Head but he is more of a middle order batsman and opening in ODIs wont make him a test quality opener.

Failed? That seems a bit much.

He’s didn’t set the world on fire, but many batsmen would’ve been pretty happy with an average of 38 after their first 13 test matches, particularly an opener. Seriously that’s only 7 runs away from a very good average for an opener.

Given we’ve seen many batsmen come back stronger in their second stint I think he’s a good option.

Only option is Burns.

We can’t go in with a rookie against that South African attack.
