Bunch of warm ups being played, lot of wash outs in Christchurch

Good to see Afghanistan beat Bangers

Be interesting to see who out of this tournament goes on to make a career for their main national side

You'd have to back Baheer Shah From Afghanistan based on what he's done in his career so far, albeit a small sample

Jason Sangha, Australia.

Best kid since Ponting.
Big call/wrap

We had Phillips at the last one, he didn't do too much. His brother is there this time but not as talented

Finn Allen is the kiwi to watch I think

Boshier seems to making more runs of late than Allen and Ravindra.

NZ have a wicketkeeper (Chu) more annoying than Paul Nixon or Wadey.

Anytime that hits the pad is lbw, anything that hits the bat is 'catch'.

Solid start by NZ. 68-1 (Ravindra out) after 15.2 chasing 234.

Game at Tauranga day/night.
Channel 57 in NZ.

Commentators saying Afg have brought crack spinners with them to this Cup. If so - this is pretty impressive for a nation relatively new to top level cricket.

NZ 107-1 Allen and Bhula in control now.

WI bowling after opening spell has been all too often short and wide.

NZ doing this easy.

Fisher bowled at 140km. Ravi is rated highly as a spinner by Ganguly.

Allen and Bhula batted well and steady.

WI bowling piss poor.

What I said...

Haha. You're on form so far but that bowling was woeful today. Lets hope he delivers against the stronger teams.

I feel for Ravi a bit being talked up as a future great spinner. Poor kid has spent the last three years built up as NZ's next KW. His bowling is his second fiddle.

But a left arm orthodox allrounder could be useful for the Black Caps in the future.

India look great - like NZ did I guess, so begs the question whether the Windies and Aust are just rubbish, or played rubbish

This Nagarkoti looks really really good

So are these 19 year old punters the up and coming no hopers who won't be able to win away from home in the future?
