well you could refer to his FC stats over the last 10 years, or you could refer to his current form where he has been making 50s at international level while those around him have been failing

which do you think is more relevant ?
His technique.

Do you mean the 2 fifties in 9 matches since his return? Yep, definitely deserves a promotion to 6.

more stats ? dont mention the 40s aye or the fact that they are at a different level

I wouldn't bat him at 6 like I just said so not really sure why you would make such a suggestion, but seriously, whats the point of quoting stats that go back 10 years when he started playing FC cricket

The people wanting Paine to bat number 6 are probs the same people who wanted Mitchell Johnson promoted in the order when he produced a few flukey innings as well, don't get caught up in the moment you fools,174 first class innings is a huge sample size and Paine averages 30,he's a shit batsmen and will always be shit,a few gutsy innings doesn't change that fact, players don't magically improve sharply at age 33 you fools.

Ban all people who said Paine to number 6

Who is our best batsman now? Khawaja? Smarsh?

If India can't win in Australia this summer, they never will.

Carefull for asking Paine at 6. Selectors could play him as a batsman and bring in Wade as keeper
or other way around o_O

Looking who killed it at Shield cricket 17/18 and didn't play in South Africa
( Burns averaged over 55 Renshaw over 44)

Ferguson 780 runs 48.75
T Head 738 runs 46.12
Maxwell 707 runs 50.50
White 547 runs 52.18

Wade 654 runs at 43.60
Doran 756 runs at 44.47
Hemphrey 568 runs 43.69

Depth galore :p
