NSW team lists and insults thread 2018

Sorry but I don't think he's a captain's arsehole. Which is probably why Friend is the captain of the Roosters.

Friend and Cordner are co-captains in point of fact. Have been for the past two seasons. You will find they even swap week to week in which one of them is there for the coin toss and who leads the team out. You're entitled to your opinion of Cordner's captaincy, but don't state complete untruths.

big hit!

It’s why you don’t take drugs

Pretty sure he fired a shot at pearce last series saying he failed to lead the team around the park, being outplayed by Thurston on one arm..

But it’s okay, 1067th time lucky I guess

that rant after game 2 last season highlighted NSW's ineptitude. here was a half who was playing in his 17th origin, his partner (Maloney) running the left side of the NSW attack in his 8th. Maloney continued to call the shots, running play after play down the left-side through Graham and Hayne. Perhaps it was Daley's instruction as it worked so well in Game 1. Still, here was 16-game veteran half of Origin, you'd think being able to assess the defensive line on his side of the field and notice that the QLD 3 defender (Thurston) was playing with a busted shoulder would be a basic skill. He should've at least got the order to the NSW trainer back to Daley that he was going to run himself, Cordner, Dugan and Tedesco towards Jonathan. f**k! Daley should've noticed it himself. We all did at home!!

Nup, let's continue to go the other way and allow Hayne & Graham to derp it up with mistakes and ill-discipline. This basic error of not exposing the opposition weakness sealed Daley's fate.

Thing is Cordner didn't give away as many penalties as Graham did, nor miss as many tackles as he did either. Fact is for missed tackles over the course of the series, Wayde Graham was in the top 3 in that category alone for NSW (Maloney had the most, followed by Jack Bird). Or shall I mention Graham's great kicking game in Origin 3
Lol maybe jack Bird and Maloney should be f**ked off too right? 2 players who actually did something last series unlike Cordner. Oh wait, did you see how he brilliantly let Munster, a Origin rookie blitz him on the outside which set up for a huge run leading to Holmes' try or maybe when he dropped the ball in the opening minutes of game 3, while nsw were camped just by qld's try line which destroyed all momentum.

he was good in game 1 last series, but then again, most of the 17 were.

he's not flashy. don't expect that from him. you won't find him being ill-disciplined and throwing away a series win either.

as a captain, he does have to be a more dominant personality. doesn't seem to have a charisma that would make other representative players follow him. that's the knock I've got on him.

btw, has graham been starting on the bench for cronulla all season? if he didn't have the brain fart he had last series, he'd probably be more in the conversation for cordner's starting left forward spot. however, his antics have basically ruled him out for mine.
Cordner is Ben Creagh 2.0 - well atleast Creagh had 1 amazing game in nsw colours where as Cordner has been outright average. You're right about your assessment of him, just a basic guy who plays a basic game, nothing flashy but offers nothing in reality. Graham does do stupid things but he's shown he can play at that level, he's just like Greg Bird in that sense who was one of the best nsw players over the last decade. How many MOTM's has he won again?

Bird has done very little to stand out in SOO.

isnt creagh famous in origin for hiding behind a teammate while tempers were fraying?

As a Qlder, Bird in the centres is slightly scary as he competes on everything can make something out of nothing and you know here will try to get involved in everything. As a 5/8, not so much as you know his outside men will get hardly any ball

I think Joey likes to make these weird claims so when one finally pays off at random he looks as smart off the field as he was on it.

Damien Cook would a good selection at hooker or as a utility. His speed out of dummy half would be so deadly against a tiring QLD team and his support play and playmaking skills would add some spark to the attack.

Fittler is on record saying he wants to pick 2 dummy halves so Cook would be really liking his chances. Fittler is a fan of his as well.
