90% dropped. We know Proctor looked pretty bad after Smith's friendly tackle. One of those four reserves will come in, though don't count on it being Cartwright.

He came out publicly saying Carty wouldnt be dropped. Then drops him.

WTF is Brennan doing? Hope he has some master plan.

Perhaps the weasel words are that he will not be dropped ‘as a result of the tackle’ [non tackle] alone - but will be dropped due to playing shit generally.

He's been in QLD too long and is playing mindgames now.

Maybe Bryce just isn't paying back the faith at training so he's given him the boot. I don't know it's weird but the rest of the team are putting in for the coach so he needs to give those guys first go.

His team mates used him always purely as a decoy on a number of occasions against the Storm. Doesn't look like they have a lot of faith in him at the moment either.

Someone just tell the guy to take 10 hitups. Needs to put his hand up for the ball instead of milling around the ruck feeling lost. The rest will take care of itself.

Cartwright needs to have an extended stay in the Queensland Cup otherwise Garth Brennan's credibility with the other members of the playing group will be tarnished. Bryce simply cannot play NRL for the Gold Coast until he starts playing like an NRL player should. I am not talking elite NRL player or SOO rep standard, just show that he is capable of performing at an acceptable level. At present he is a laughing stock.

If performance related criticism is what Cartwright needs to avoid for his mental health, his club has a duty of care to not play him in First Grade. The exposure will not go away as long as he's playing NRL.

The injury he sustained is probably also still having a bearing on his form. A lot of good judges said he wouldn't be able to bounce back to the level he was at, or even close to it.

Hope he gets it all together in the near future, pretty sad story if he doesn't.

Fill me in please.

Will Smith was always good for a genuine clanger every game.

During the Parra vs Warriors game, he went into dummy half and "passed" the ball deliberately to Isaac Luke who was still lying around the play the ball area, resulting in a penalty to the Eels. Smith proceeded to give Luke a bit of lip about getting away with milking that penalty.

On the attack a few plays later, Smith loses the football, courtesy of a good tackle by guess who? Isaac Luke! He had the last laugh and let Smith know it!

Has a player ever embodied the spirit of Paul Carige more than Will Smith?

Some nice touches. But every game he always had a monumental f**k up
