Pou you have ideas and I have. There different.

For me you dont have utilities playing in backline unless a guy is injured and his normal was was on the bench. W.Smith for example is a good utility. And capable bench player when needed. Most times he can be relied on.
A guy like Taka offers value cause able to play multiple positions but shpuld be favoured in one.
Gutherson played 59 first grade games. Its just over 2 full seasons. Pick his position and leave him there. Same goes with Bevan. When a coach is moving guys back and forth it gives me the impression he is unsure. Not a good sign.

If Gutherson was an excellent fullback he would never be moved from it. No matter what injuries to other parts of the squad.

How about utilities like Inglis and Hayne?

Not true. One either was given a position they spent years at the same one.

Plenty of fullbacks start first grade on wing at 18 before moving to their position. But the plan is always to get them there.

Plus your talking about two elite players. Guthersons good. He isn't anywhere near the same athletic abilities of those two.

Ferguson by far will be our most athletic back.

Hayne if stays and can stay fit will be 2nd.

Gutherson to me doesnt seem to have the same type ofmpower, strength, acceleration or footwork to ever be elite. Not saying he cant be very good and safe. But just dont seem him turning into elite level.

Pou what we need is guys who own their positions.

We also need to develop a barn storming 2nd rower. We have Taka and Manu who I like but are both slightly sideways. Look at Kikau . The damage he can do. No matter how tired a defense is Manu and Taka or Tepai wont dedtroy them. It is an issue.
Good teams have these straight hard running 2nd rowers. Manu is a beast. And Tepai can break out at anytime. Taka is skillfull but I lean on the opinion that he might be expendable and his place upgraded.
Niakuore has some oomph that can hurt teams. I reckon we try and develop him. Shows more in running then Tepai

I reckon a guy who turned the corner is a far stronger influence than a guy who has never had to overcome any problems in his life.

Its nice hearing people calling others bad influences and feeling the answer is to throw them in the scrap heap rather then giving them a chance. Makes for a great society.

In that case scrap him. Only place for a utility is bench. If your not good enough too own a spot in the 1-7 you can be a 14 or move on. These guys who cant call a spot their own never amount to much. And certainly wont suceed in halves or fullback. They are specialist positions.
Austin perhaps is an example.

These two posts come, literally, one after the other.

11am Tomorrow. Stay tuned
Tomorrow would have been Tuesday dickhead. All announcements are Wednesday. Unless you’re referring to the Morning Show with Larry & Kylie, in which case of course I’ll be staying tuned in

So apparently Austin knocked back $800k x3 from Canberra a month or two ago. Oops.
