There are plenty of sites where you can view soft porn. But LU is not one of those sites. If you persist in posting such material, you'll find yourself suspended.

I am now extending this to any general threats, no matter how remote, which are brought into the discussions.

GENERAL:
1. If you're thinking of posting explicit material in FFB, you will be barred from FFB.
2. If you're thinking of threatening anyone in FFB, you will be barred from FFB.
3. If you're thinking of creating an unfriendly environment in FFB, you will be barred from FFB.

'Barred' means that you will no longer be able to see FFB on the LU message board. In some cases this could extend to a total banning from LU.

I have some legitimate questions:

1. Are the three rules something new that is a result of recent antics
2. Assuming the answer to 1 is "yes", what is the scope? For example, I was accused by fellow posters for "ruining a fun thread" after I called out attention seeking behaviour (see New Pic thread for details) from posters who weren't contributing. Would this earn me a banning under rule 3? I know it's a mod's call, but since there was really no legit grounds to delete the messages I would have felt like a douche if I reported it.

Just need some clarification, I think my behaviour can be boarderline some times.

Would it be possible to get some example so we all know where the line is drawn? I dare say everyone has a different idea, so if we had some specifics it can set the standard.

To be honest guys its fairly straight forward.

Don't go posting any pictures of naked people, male or female, also, no posting of any sexual/pornographic material. I'm pretty sure you can all understand that.

Don't go threatening people. I'm sure thats understandable. No threatening to go and fight someone, hijacking threads with arguments etc etc

If you have intentions of posting purely to anger people in here and for no other reason, then this is also deemed threatening and unfriendly.

Banter is fine, but don't overstep the mark.

If you personally have an issue with a forummer, don't bitch and moan about it on the forums, PM a mod or admin (any of them will do) and let us sort it out.

As for the clarification, I think the unfriendly thing is spot on. The general gist has to be ignore the idiots and attention seekers. Hard on the FFB, I realise - but otherwise the games will never end.

It has been necessary to remove some posts this afternoon that were directed at, or regarding banned, suspended, or members that have been suspend from the FFB.

Discussion in the forum regarding banned or suspended members is not allowed as it is a matter for mods and administrators only.

Any further such posts will also be removed.

I'm getting a bit fed up editing peoples posts who try and avoid the word filter, and you know who you are.

We seem to be getting a lot of instance where members are editing the quoted post with a message "fixed it for you".

We remind you that quote editing is against our guidelines and we cannot allow it, even if it is in jest.

EDITING OTHER PEOPLE'S POSTS
Every member has the option to quote other member's posts when making a reply. Please note that posts which edit another member's post (by way of the quote function) will be deleted. In this we refer to 'quotes' which deliberately alter another member's post.
Repeated attempts at editing in this manner will result in a warning being sent and possible expulsion.
This doesn’t include ‘name calling’ by changing the name of author of the quote.
