Raiders have a decent record against dragons altough i remember clearly the 58-18 loss a few meetings ago at WIN hopefully we hold onto the ball we showed we can beat them in a cracker last season so im praying for a repeat result

Dragons will be missing half a team, massive chance for the Raiders next week

These games have been very spiteful over the years.... Always love it when the dragons and raiders square off.

With the sheer amount of reps out I'd say the raiders might get up in a close one.

raiders becoz of their record against dragons and the fact drags potentially may have a few players out

Ahhhh could not have got the freakin' Raiders at a worse time. Definitely a bogey side. We'll have at least 4 players out with the possibility of 6 being chosen for Origin. Hopefully Smith and Saffy are back this week. I'll stay strong and predict a Dragons win.

Saints 26
Raiders 22

Last 10 meetings between these teams stands at Raiders 9 Dragons 1.

The Dragons have only beaten the Raiders once since 2001.

Combined with the fact half the Dragons team will be missing, I can see a Raiders win here. We always get up for this game, no matter how well or how badly we're travelling.

I'm not sure we will have a backline this week.

Morris, Boyd, Cooper, Scott all out due to injury or Origin.
Creagh, Weyman, Costigan, Smith, Saffy, Fien all out for same reasons.

I think our side might look like this:
Nighty
Lett
Stanley
Prior
Vickery / Roche
Soward
Hornby

Hunt
Priddis
Green
Emmett
Greenfield
Young

Merrin
Thorby
Henry
Hancock / Marketo

The Raiders really should give us a hiding.
Would be nice to see Smith/Saffy back this week, but from all reports they are still another week away.

Shillington & Boyd in the Queensland team.

I usually dislike people who talk down their team, as I get the impression they are making excuses for them losing, & use it as ammo if their team wins.

But honestly, if Canberra lose this game...

If we win this, it'll be by a small margin. 7 regular players out at least from recollection now that Boyd & Costy have been picked...
Canberra should arc up for this on regardless after an unlucky loss to Melb, hopefully the home crowd doesnt go too silent like they did last time we played them at WIN back in 08....

I don't know about this one...Dragons have been far more vulnerable away then they have been at home this year. Look at their record at WIN/Jubilee and it tells you they have gone 5-0 without ever really being in danger.

They will be tested this week however against a Raiders side that can definitely win against a weakened Dragons team IF they bring their A-game. Dragons are missing a lot of guys through both injury and SOO, and for one, they won't have Brett Morris out wide as an option for this one.

I'm on the fence...for now.

We're actually aiming up on the road this year and playing like cats at home.

We have a solid record against the Dragons and our run on side is pretty damn solid.

I am hoping against hope we see a few small changes.

I'd like to see Kelly out, Picker back to the bench, J.Thompson into the second row and Justin Carney come into the centres.

That'd make us a far stronger side, despite the way Thompson is playing out wide.

This is the Dragons' record v Canberra, it's not pretty.
Lost 12-24: 2009 @ Canberra
Lost 12-19: 2008 @ Wollongong
Lost 14-21: 2008 @ Canberra
Won 58-16: 2007 @ Wollongong
Lost 6 -30: 2007 @ Canberra
Lost 12-31: 2006 @ Canberra
Lost 22-42: 2005 @ Canberra
Lost 12-21: 2004 @ Kogarah
Lost 18-19: 2003 @ Kogarah
Lost 14-18: 2003 @ Canberra
Drew 21-21: 2002 @ Wollongong

Considering the Dragons will be without, Boyd, Costigan, Creagh, Cooper, Morris, Weyman through State Of Origin and Jeremy Smith, Nathan Fien and Peni Tagive through injury and that Beau Scott returns early from injury along with Saffy, Saints will field a side that's had very little minutes on the field in recent times.
If the Dragons win, it will be another outstanding result for the coach. Bennett's Dragons couldn't overcome the hoodoo last year but subsequent form showed the wheels had fallen off at that stage of the season. Saints would otherwise have no hope in this game but with Bennett at the helm, I believe they can still win.
