I think the Panthers should be up for this one. Once we see the team lists it should be a bit easier to tip though. I think both teams will be similarly weakened by Origin though.

If Petero, Lewis and Waterhouse are in Origin we need Pritchard to be fit to win this IMO.

We have been busy in the off-season in building a better replacement strategy especially for the S.O.O.

It will be close, but I wouldn't be surprised if we put 30-50 on this lot.

Can't be shocked if Penrith put the cleaners through us. Tipping Penrith here for sure.

Predicted 'Dogs lineup, assuming Morris, Kimmorley and Ennis are chosen for NSW, and Stagg for QLD:

Patten, Turner, Tia-Kilifi, Idris, Goodwin, Roberts, Barba, Armit, Green, Hodgson, Warburton, Ryan, Halatau
Bench: Gordon, Browne, Paea, Romelo

Doubt we will put the cleaners through you Timmah. It will be 1 - 12 points difference either way IMO.

Is Roberts supposed to be back mate? I thought he was still a few weeks off.

Dogs will put up a good fight, and I bet Tia-Kilifi and Romelo will be up for a big one against their old club, especially Romelo since we sacked him.

Idris really really worries me, especially if he is lining up on Purtell and Elford! Barba is a bloody dangerous player too.

Roberts will be cleared to play according to an article I read on Saturday.

Worst case scenario is that we lose Jennings, House, Lewis and Petero. If that is the case i would go with.

1.Coote 2. Elford 3.Tighe 4.Purtell 5.Gordon 6.Burns 7.Walsh 8.Grant 9.Kingston 10.Bell 11.Pritchard 12. Smith 13.Graham

14.Iosefa 15.McKendry 16.Cooper 17.Puletua

There is forwards that are probably ahead of Puletua on form, however we need experience in this game not more youth.

Morris won't be in the NSW side. Not Josh anyway. Unlikely Panthers lose Jennings. I doubt Stagg makes it for QLD either.

Both teams will be missing three players. Civoniceva, Lewis and Waterhouse for Penrith. Hannant, Kimmorley and Ennis for Canterbury. Idris is a maybe if the media hype is to be believed.

josh is the dragon brett is the bulldog. Most sides i have seen have brett on the wing he is a strong chance of being selected.
There is no way we will flog the dogs it will be a 1 to 12 win a close game. Our losses are to players most likely to score our points.I think we will be worse of than them with more selected

my mistake

then the dogs will have him then.Bret is the name i have seen mentioned. They now look like being a stronger line up.Given our weakness is very much when the ball gets thrown out wide

Only reason I keep flicking the Morris name into contention is that he's the incumbent centre for the Blues. Would not surprise me to see him named with Tahu or Cooper in the centres.

So many marquee matchups are being played on Monday night...which is odd. I'd argue this is the game of the round.

I like the Panthers in this one, but will recognise the danger the Dogs possess. Penrith are playing too well at the moment but their forward pack will be weakened; the Dogs seem to be missing a little 'something' and might lack direction in the halves...ironically, an area of strength for Penrith this year.
