Penrith (with a win tonight) will be playing for 2nd/3rd on Saturday. Sharks don't back up well and don't have a heck a lot to play for, given last week was their grand final.

Tim Grant and Lachlan Coote likely back for this one. Could get embarassing for the Sharks.

Give Cronulla a huge hope in this. Short turnaround for Penrith, Petero suspended, and Covell & Gardner are good under the high ball which is Penrith's only play.

Sharks are still a nothing team and we play much better at home. Its our away form that's been poor, get rattled away and we play like geniuss, resort to too much kicking and too many soft penalties. We had a bit of luck tonight to win but we also showed character to win in the last 10 mins. A contest probably because of our problems but Sharks have nothing to play for they'll come 14th either way. We still can get 2nd. Us by 14

If Penrith are smart they'll resort to their usual bomb tactic and pepper Gardner all night. He's a good young fullback but he doesn't have the height.

Tough one. Wasn't at all inspired by penriths effort last night, very lucky under the circumstances. Shouldve poleaxed the Dogs in reality.
Sharks by 4.

Gardner has been awesome under the high ball all year despite his lack of height.

Panthers will win this. It will be tight for 60 then we will fall off

If the dogs had of beaten the Panthers than I would of picked the Sharks.

I reckon the Sharks had their “grand final” last week and the panthers will win quite comfortably.

Hopefully a narrow win (granted it was pretty solid comeback from 16 points down, but still) last week gave us a kick up the arse. We seem to need one every couple of weeks. After this week we won't have any more chances to have rubbish games.

But other teams in the NRL have scored a higher percentage of their points off bombs.

And if we've scored so many points off it why hasn't any team come up with a simple way to stop it?
