NRL debuts for two young Cowboys

22/03/2011 12:39:39 PM

Two players will make their NRL debuts for the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys in the round three Monday night clash against the Melbourne Storm at Dairy Farmers Stadium.
Former St George Illawarra Dragon Kalifa Faifai Loa will take over Michael Bani’s wing position, while former Cairns junior James Segeyaro has been named on the interchange bench, replacing Ben Jones.
New Zealand-born Faifai Loa, 21, played two games for the Dragons in their premiership season and crossed for two tries, while Segeyaro starred for the Northern Pride in their Queensland Cup round one win against Central Queensland at the weekend.
Born in Goroka in Papua New Guinea, 20-year-old Segeyaro usually occupies the hooker role but will wear No.14 for his NRL debut.
The game will kick off at 6.15pm next Monday.

Storm by 12 minimum unless Slater,Smith, and Cronk suffer severe injuries before the game it's going to be a long night for the Cowboys. I expect the Cowboys to put more effort than last week because over the years Storm have racked up 50+points whenever they meet. A-Game or it's no game for the Cowboys.

I really hope the boys are ashamed of last weeks performance against the knights and turn up ready for this game, because the storm are a far tougher prospect than the knights and it could turn ugly if we arent on song. Im going to tip us just because, well, i havent tipped against the cowboys in 10 years so im not going to start now.

^Nah.
Storm will win, but they'll be winning it by 2 or so.....there's too much going on for this game to be a simple throw away.
I'd really like to say we'll win but I won't get my hopes up.

Storm by 20

It was originally scheduled for Saturday night, with WT v Canberra scheduled for Monday. Both teams and the NRL insitigated a swap to ensure North Queensland could use DFS, which had been double-booked for Saturday night for a motocross event.

The surface will be interesting to see...
