Cows should welcome back Tonga, Bolton, Payne, T Sims(??) and Hall for this game. Tate was due back this week but apparently had some last minute cleanup work on his knee and will miss another week.

Tariq will still be missing, Payne is in a lot of doubt too.

Hopefully Paterson gets a run against his old club.

Hall played in the game against Penrith?

Knights potentially welcoming back Mullen, Costigan, Maddog, Tuimavave. As long as Aku and Gids pull thru origin ok, we should be at fullstrength minus Taia and DeGois (who both should be back for the final month of the comp).

Personally wouldn't mind Tate and Tonga back, they'd be pretty rusty, especially Tate, and Sau, Wes, Lulia and Aku could take real advantage. Although I've read Tate wont be back till rnd 19, and Payne will struggle to be fit, which is a HUGE bonus for us.

Itll be close, but all our games this year have been except the Storm game + and round 1&2.

I think it all depends on how Thurston back up from Origin. Cowboys completely different side when he is firing. Mullen also has a great history against Nth Queensland, so hopefully he has a good game if he plays.

2005 he scored 2 tries as a rookie.
2006 he scored a try, and kicked a field goal.
2007 he didnt play them.
2008 he had a try in the first meeting, and a double in the second, plus a hand in another.
2009 we got flogged in the first game, but the second encounter he won it single handedly in one of his most dominant performances, with a try and a hand in 3 others .
2010 he was fairly quite with only 1 assist in the 2 meetings.
2011 he had a faultless kicking game hitting two 40/20s, with a try assist too.

I say knights by 8 in a fairly high scoring game, as thats usually been the case between these 2 teams recently.

The Cowboys are a great team to watch when they're firing, hopefully they come and put on a show (but not too good of a show)

Should be a great game, regardless of who wins (as I find it hard to split the two teams at the moment)...if the Knights can grab at least one win out of these next 2 home games vs Cowboys and then Manly, then we'll be looking good with a number of easy teams coming up in the final 7 rounds :D

I dont really think it would be an upset if the Knights win.

Newcastle have a great record against the Cowboys, esp at Newcastle.

Mullen saves his best for NQL, whose away form isnt too great.

Not to discredit Knights but they are having a dream draw. Beat Panthers with key players missing, beat LOL@Roosters and Dragons without origin players. Now they'll play a Thurstonless Cowboys. 4 in a row coming up, dream draw continues.

Lose all your key players at once for extended periods and then come back and tell us how "lucky" we've been this year.

I have never been this gutted after an origin win. In fact, after JT went down, I honestly didn't give a f**k if QLD lost. There goes our season.

Not necessarily. The Cowboys have been playing some good footy this season, and although JT had been in devastating form, I think they're finally moving a bit away from the whole "1 player team" thing. There's no way you'll win it without him, but might still creep into the 8.
