Dan Carter will bring up his 100th Super Rugby cap for the Crusaders in their round 9 clash with the Hurricanes, although not in the number 10 jersey.
Tom Taylor retains the position after scoring all of the Crusaders' points in their win against the previously unbeaten Stormers.
Instead Carter will be at second five, coming full circle and playing the position he started his career in.
George Whitelock and Owen Franks will also be making milestones with their 50th Super Rugby games.
Adam Whitelock has come in to replace Sean Maitland, who is nursing an ankle sprain from the Stormers match, on the right wing.
Coming off a bye that followed their win against the Sharks in round 7, the Hurricanes have doubts for halfback TJ Perenara who suffered an injury in a team basketball game.
Chris Eaton has been bracketed alongside Perenara in the starting line-up meaning wider training group member Frae Wilson will get a shot on the bench if Perenara cannot prove his fitness in time match.
Victor Vito returns to the Hurricanes starting line-up at No. 8 after his trouble with a calf injury.
He replaces Brad Shields who has suffered a shoulder injury.
Jack Lam is the only other concern and is bracketed with Mark Reddish as loose forward cover.
