SG Ball and Harold Matthews results

Went and watched the SG Ball game last night. Went down 18-0 early and did well to come back and make a game of it. Daniel Meafou is going to be a special player!! Im unsure of his contract status but hopefully the club locks him up long term

KOE (ex Canterbury Cup) and Jersey Flegg

Dylan Egan was outstanding. Scored a fantastic try. Villiame Fifita had his best game to date. Alec Tuitavake has been great since his ACL return. Also Ryan Couchman would be close to a debut. His workrate is off the charts

    The Rumours Thread

Zac Herring is a super player. Very versatile. Last week when Paul turner went off he switch from 5/8 to fullback and didnt miss a beat. Has also played hooker at stages. He should be our next no 14 putting pressure on the spine. Plays a real tough style of play for a half. Massive fan!

KOE (ex Canterbury Cup) and Jersey Flegg

Amone scored 4 tries today. Looked so far above SG Ball. Kid is a freak. Expect him to play some cup this year. He's gonna be real good!!

    Nightingale to retire

Honestly broke me seeing Gyps getting hurt yesterday. Horrendous way to go out. Not everyone gets there fairytale send off but he deserved better than that. Shattered

And now are you glad we have signed Ben Hunt ?

Like I said, his kicking game was great, yeah he dropped a couple of balls and got sin binned [ Extremely unlucky] But we had other players lift around him. Im sure he will be fine

And now are you glad we have signed Ben Hunt ?

Other than the kick out on the full, I thought his kicking game won us the game last night. Regularly found the ground and pierced fullback and winger. Trapped them into a corner. He gets smashed for no particular reason. He isn't outlandish in his comments. He is a quiet humble bloke just...

    Nightingale to retire

Reading all the posts and tributes today, not gonna lie had a tear in the eye. Jase is one of the players and people that come around once in a generation. When I saw him play in 2005 for our jersey flegg side my first thought was " very unique". He made his way through the grades and in 07...

    Nightingale is done

Jase did 37 tackles last night in a position hes not played in. He should be applauded for his efforts not berated because he missed tackles. The treatment he gets is disgraceful from some. What do you expect him to do? I was at the game and his contact in defence was some of the best of the...

Our Teams Character ( Especially Ben Hunt )

The guts and courage to put that same kick in last night as he did in state of origin was massive. Poor kid has not had a good week and for him to put that behind him and produce a clutch play is a massive credit to his character. I understand he gets paid a lot of money to produce the goods...

    Jason Nighingale

Nothing but absolute love for Gypsy. His character and competitiveness are just some of his traits but his willingness to put his body on the line week after week against players that are much bigger than him is something to behold. I hope he has an absolute blinder tonight!

Reserve Grade + Jersey Flegg teams/news etc

Thanks for that summary. Im a bit concerned as to why De Belin and McDonald are playing reserve grade and not playing today. Hopefully there is a good reason for it

Walmsley to sign - Possm take a bow!

If he does sign then I'll definetly be getting excited. He is a type of prop that the NRL does not have and would be a huge asset for us. After watching him for over 2 years now I believe with a full NRL pre season he will turn into an absoute beast. So tall and wide but he is extremely awkward...

    Leilua Re-Signs for 2 Years

Watched a lot of Luciano last year. He went into the start of the year very overweight and it took a good half a season to get his weight under control. Has the obvious brilliance in attack but still needed work on his defence. In the last half of the year that improved dramatically and he ended...

What are you most looking forward to in 2018 ?

Im looking forward to a lot of what 2018 can offer. These include: - A running halfback with a solid kicking game and the ability to free Gareth up - Euan Aitken having an injury free year. Kid had terrible luck last year and every game he played, he played well. There is a lot of people...

    JOEL THOMPSON TO MANLY?

I think this is the right call from the club. If another club is willing to pay Joel ridiculous money then good luck to him. I don’t begrudge him whatsoever. Joel is 29 going on 30. The guys we have in his position include -Luciano Leilua -Jacob Host -Jackson Ford All of these boys are...

    Never Doubt a champion

Did he ever play in any creative position in the squad to help create points? Probably would've done a better job at hooker than Rein! Hahahah, we will agree to disagree on this one
