Rule changes you'd like to see for next season

Captain's challenge to be upped to 2 per game Refs are unable to go to bunker for any call, they make each to their best judgement Once ref makes a call, team has 15 seconds (this needs to be mandated strongly) to challenge Less stoppages game continues to flow

    John Grant quits....

So the clubs and News Limited journalists strike again. Continuing to hold onto what power they have and keeping the game back. Who cares who the next Commissioner is - more of the same on the way.

    Leilua Gets a start!

Bloke I work with reckons he's signed with the Dogs for two years. Claims he got this info from a reliable source who said Luciano has taken up a job working with someone/company that takes on under 20's players. Hope he's wrong.

    2016 Crowd Watch

My thoughts exactly. Reduce the number of club games to around 20 per season. Move 9's from pre-season to Origin month in June and make it a round robin type tournament. NRL to boost prize money for tournament to encourage teams to play near/full strength sides. One weekend could be played in...

    The Bunker

Only one game but was a fan of it. The decisions were made fast and without fuss. No doubt when a decision is made against the majority people will detest it for being an expensive waste but that is just rugby league reality.

Ray warren retiring at end of season

Had been in steep decline for some time but I would still take him over the rest of 9's current bunch. Even with the juvenile and tired routine with Gould. 9 are f**ked. Best of the TV commentators are on Fox. Even happier Fox are doing their own commentary for each game now.

    Parra... Please don't ever change.

+1. The backpedal was very average too.

Fox Sports NRL shows for 2016

Like the idea of NRL Tonight. Easy way to get the day's news without having to listen to too much waffle. A change I wish they would make with NRL 360 is to have a large rotating cast of players, coaches and legends. More diversity of views would be welcome.

    Warney, you've done it again!

Anyone read Craddocks piece this afternoon? It is behind a paywall. Oh and f**k Warne.

Should the Dogs be docked points?

Graham - Fined and suspended. Klemmer - Fined. Phil Gould and the rest of the Ch 9 commentary team should hang their heads in shame. None of them knew the rules...none of them. Laughing stock. While the NRL is trying to modernise itself it is being held back by Ch 9 + Telegraph etc. We as...

Supply and Demand - A Gypsy article

Less = more. Cut 6 to 10 rounds from club competition games resulting in each game being more crucial and important in regards to making the finals. Hopefully leading to a greater incentive to either watch on TV or attend live. There are too many, poor quality games I think player fatigue...

idea to grow crowds and membership

Yep I agree with playing each other once per year, home and away over a two year period with one bye per team each season.

idea to grow crowds and membership

Too many games a season. I always feel like I can miss a handful and for it not to matter. If we had less games, each game would feel more like an 'event' not to be missed rather than just another match.

    '14 // R2 // Sat // Warriors 12-31 Dragons // Eden

We're the Warriors bogey team. They don't like playing us for whatever reason. Getting them early will help too. Warriors don't seem to care until their season looks like slipping away. Saints 24 Warriors 18

    Least favourite TV Commentator

All barring Bumble, Taylor and Vaughan have been terrible. Sad that the best commentator left could only work during one test match.

South African touring squad for Feb/Mar 2014 3 test series?

A fit Harris, Johnson and Pattinson just looks so much more dangerous than Harris, Johnson and Siddle. Not trying to discredit the role Siddle plays but in SA with those green as grass pitches imagine having three fast bowlers capable of bowling in excess of 140kph consistently and being able to...

Which team (and their fans perhaps) do you hate and why?

RISE UP! Now that's terrible... You forgot to mention Sean Payton and winning that little old Superbowl trophy. It did take the Saints 20 or 21 years (something like that I could be off by a few) to have a WINNING season. New Orleans and the greater Louisiana area has always supported the...

    2ND ASHES TEST: England v Australia at Lord's Jul 18-22, 2013

As Parraboy alluded to get the bowlers bowling short, sharp spells. Don't let the English batsmen get comfortable facing any one bowler. If a bowler is releasing pressure (like Starc was prone to doing) get him off. Watson wouldn't need to bowl using my line-up. I don't think anyone could rely...

    2ND ASHES TEST: England v Australia at Lord's Jul 18-22, 2013

    1. Watson 2. Rogers 3. Hughes 4. Clarke 5. Smith 6. Haddin 7. Agar 8. Harris/Bird 9. Siddle 10. Starc 11. Pattinson Call me crazy but if we want to win this series I believe we beef up our strength (bowling) and keep England to 250-300 and hope that the batsmen up their game, even if it only is...

Eliminate risk and it will be game over

People can bitch and moan all they want about the 'softening' up of the game. It won't achieve anything. Once these types of decisions have been reached there is no going back. Look to other professional sports/leagues around the world for evidence. Oh and coming down hard on player safety...
