    In regards to your first point... Hell no Premierships are the major and most important measure of success, are you telling me the dogs season last year was not successful given 2008? Would you not consider that Souths had a successful year in 2007 by reaching the finals for the first time...

    I am interested as to why you think this would be the case. granted neither side has won anything for a long time and boths sets of fans would be excited but i can't see how the atmosphere would be any better/worse than other grand finals. We have had dream grand finals before, roosters/dogs...

    Quite simply.... no I hate Souths with a passion and hope i never see them in a grand final in my lifetime. The grand final you mentioned is one step away from my worst nightmare... a dogs/souths grand final

    Completely agree. He is trying his best and will have a few good games at fullback but he is a 5/8 and he needs to play there ASAP We are 13 rounds into the season and have still not seen a Pearce/Carney halves combo!!!

    Agree the blues will probably lose :( But still a better side selected than last time. I would rather see Campese at 5/8 than Barrett though. At least that way you have 2 young halves who could possibly be there for a couple of years.

    What a load of sh*t! How can you blame a coach for losing a grand final, if the players can't find motivation for a GF then they will never be motivated.

    Agree with everything you said. Do you not think that there is a bigger issue though. Rugby league has the product to be in a position to keep these players and for some reason we can't. Yes the AFL is engaging in a PR stunt but at the end of the day they got their man and to me it shows changes...
