    While Manly are serial offenders, why isn't there the flexibility to consider moving such a game to an alternative venue or a Saturday afternoon even?     Considering WC play Carlton and Hawthorn both at home, this could well be right. They also have Freo who have a pretty good record in the derby in recent years. Swans have an easy start to the year - things get decidedly tougher in the run home.

    I agree. The pies do get a favorable draw. However it is unfair to proportion the entire blame at Eddie and Vlad. Every side in the AFL, Geelong included, request to play the pies twice, purely for the gate receipts.
