    Reminders of your childhood

One of my old neighbours once had a fantastic mulberry tree in the front yard. A few years back there was apparently a bit of a craze among schoolkids for raising pet silkworms (which eat the mulberry leaves) and almost every low hanging branch over the footpath was soon completely stripped...

Even the government were getting into it... - Oriental backing tape - tick - Young kid inexplicably wandering the streets in traditional dress - tick - "Flied lice" singing - tick

    2019 Jerseys/Logos/Sponsorships

They dead set look like a local grade team that are wearing their new jerseys and shorts... but haven't been given this year's socks yet. garbage

    Most Annoying TV Commercials

Doesn't really qualify as "annoying" but after hearing a few people talk about the new Libra ad, I saw it for the first time yesterday. Crikey. I get that periods are a normal and natural occurrence for women, but the images of blood running down a leg in the shower and a young teen dropping...

    2019 Crowd Watch

Pax of 9810 for women's game about an hour ago. Add on the free under 15's entry and this should be a very nice crowd.

    Reminders of your childhood

I would always front up at 9am or so on a Saturday morning. Guaranteed peak hour and at least 20 or 30 minutes wait for a kid to flick through some forbidden fruit. Remember mine also had the Aussie Post and a rare Penthouse or two in his mix.

What Phrases and Words Make You See Red?

The women on dating apps etc. looking for a "partner in crime". In reality have barely even copped a parking ticket and would want nothing to do with blokes that actually do have a criminal record...

First Saints game you went to ?

First one I can remember actually going to was at Belmore during the '88 season. No idea who we played though. Was more about mass games of footy with random kids you didn't know than actually watching the game. The old man just told me to have fun and come back when the hooter went (imagine...

    Most Annoying TV Commercials

That Hungry Jacks pineapple whopper ad wore out its welcome halfway through the first time I saw it, never mind halfway through summer.

    Reminders of your childhood

I may be weird but I used to love that smell! Bloody intoxicating. The detonators on the rails were more of a thing back then as well, used to scare the shit out of you especially if you were in the front carriage... was like a shotgun blast. I remember the police coming to primary school to do...

    Reminders of your childhood

Cracking thread all, some fantastic memories. One which probably won't be coming back is getting into the footy for free at half time. Money was a bit tight as a kid, so we did this pretty often at Kogarah in the 80's... they stopped allowing it somewhere around 1990 or 1991 from memory. Also...

    Horn V Mundine !

Probably not hard to guess where my allegiance lies, always been a big Mundine fan. We were a bloody entertaining side to watch in his time. He had a few tricks in his book that nobody else could quite pull off, one of the best was the way he could hit dummy half at full pace, scoop the ball up...

    Where are they now?

Denan Kemp actually is running a bar on the Gold Coast. He has a decent League interview style podcast as well that is worth a listen, lots of Dragons have been interviewed... Widdop, Sims, Aitken and Jimmy Graham have all had a run from memory.

    Macquarie sports radio

Gave it a go for a bit to kill time in the car, I think John Stanley was going alright in the morning but I could only take Beau Ryan in very small doses. Levy seems to want to jump on a soapbox every few minutes and talk garbage, he's turned me off. Apart from being ridiculously AFL heavy for...

    Most Annoying TV Commercials

Channel 7 is big on these... "The drama that has ALL OF AUSTRALIA on edge", "AUSTRALIA is hooked on...", "The show AUSTRALIA can't get enough of..." I'm not watching it. So get farked.

    2018 R25 Sat - Knights 14-24 Dragons @ McDonald Jones

After having it all to play for yesterday and delivering arguably the worst performance by any team in the competition all season... surely zero hope here. Knights 20-4.

    Round 24 v Dogs

I sat miserably at the MCG watching every minute of 70-10 in 2000 and most of 61-0 nil at Brookvale... I left at half time yesterday for the first time ever watching the Dragons because I just felt zero enjoyment at all watching the game. It could have been a full house on a sunny afternoon and...

    RIP Lance Thompson

The sort of bloke that every team loves to have, tough as nails and always giving his 100%, you could tell how much he loved playing league. Left a lot of fans a lot of good memories... RIP Thommo

    2018 R5 Fri - Dragons 16-12 Rabbitohs @ Jubilee

Think the short turnaround might make this our tightest match of the year to date. We never get easy games against the bunnies. Dragons by 4.
