    SJ.

I wanted him gone in 2018 (I was at the final against Penrith) and didn't want him back in 2022. It was great to be proven wrong about him coming back. Moving forward, he's got 10 days off to rest and that's good news.

I think Walker lacks pace and is too ill-disciplined to play such a pivotal role. He could use footwork and guise, I suppose, but that still leaves him prone to penalties and errors.

Just double, but even that didn't make up for when my schadenfreude-loving, Tigers workmate broke the halftime score, score with seven minutes to go (27-24) and then the final score to me. I kept having to smile for the public.

70-10, remember! It was so bad that the three points I gave was to Matt Lodge, for a big hit on a Storm forward taking the ball up from yet another Warriors kick-off. It was about the 77th minute and (my memory's clear on this) I said 'at the very least it reminded the Storm player that he was...

Are the 2024 Warriors better than the 2023 Warriors? Can we go all the way?

The Johnson-Metcalf leftside attack is gone.

I'll just report the facts, 60-18, Roosters. Final. It's the Roosters biggest ever win over St George, to do it on Anzac Day is something else. Walker kicked ten from ten too. So if they score tries, or get kickable penalties, then they'll likely maximise points in future games too.

    F.O Andrew Webster

I was starting this thread today. If anything, we might get rid of a few of the worst fair-weatherers. There's not a huge amount of unpalatable fans that have turned up lately but still, let's have them gone, for now. Mt Smart will still be rocking this year without them.

Sam Walker is having a good one, 36-12, Roosters, twenty mins to go. It's almost like the Warriors were just really bad last week rather than the Dragons really good.

Anzac Day round is always full of emotion and sentiment, reflection too, and Manly will have a double dose after losing a club legend in Terry Hill. Today, there's three games, with the Warriors breaking with recent tradition by bypassing the Storm and taking on the Titans at home. The Roosters...

2024 Harold Matthews Cup Grand Final.

12 Midday at Commbank Stadium, Parramatta, which sucks a bit, from my point of view. I wish it was at a smaller venue, you know, more intimate and a better atmosphere than a huge empty concrete bowl.

At work there's this customer I always chat to. He's from Cronulla and stopped supporting them during Super League and never came back to the NRL. Another reason he gave was the feeling you get when your team loses and you then 'lose your whole weekend'. He'd had enough of that. I know that...

There were quite a few hidings this round, which really shook up the f/a. Rd 7 Ladder: I'm not sure we'd have expected to be 10th with over a quarter of the season gone? We've beaten only one side above us on the ladder too. On struggle street the Bulldogs look encouraging, the Tigers less...

Are the 2024 Warriors better than the 2023 Warriors? Can we go all the way?

The title of this week's email from the Warriors: 'Webby and co talk all things high performance'. That wouldn't include last Friday's game, would it? The club needs to put on a good, winning show on Thursday. I hate being narky like this!

28-0, Broncos. Halftime. Heck, sorry for suggesting the Raiders might sneak a premiership, or even a GF appearance. In fact, that's a nightmare scenario for neutrals in October, Brisbane crowned champions by the break.

C'mon Titans! They've jumped ahead of Manly. They're due a win and we can't have that happening next week. Gee, the Robina faithful are vocal! 12-10 up. Foran's having a good game. Fifita is yet to come on the field too... ...geez, 30-28, Titans, with a mountain of time left. What a...

    Team vs Titans

I know where you're coming from but it does risk taking us back to those controversial Cappy days (no pun intended) where we started games without Matulino, our best prop. The vibe was never good about that.
